Temporary Exhibition ‘1917, Total War in Flanders – Passchendaele, landscape at war’

03.06.2017 > 15.11.2017 ~ Open daily from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm

The exhibition focuses on the crucial role of the devastated landscape during the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917. Both armies were forced to adapt their tactics, attack methods and logistics. The impact on the servicemen, both physically and emotionally, was also enormous.

On the occasion of this unique exhibition, the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 publishes the book ‘Passchendaele 1917 – Landscape at war’. This publication sheds a new light on the battlefield of Ypres with numerous testimonies and images of the landscape before, during and after the war. As of May 2017 the book will be on sale at the museum shop and several bookshops.

Entrance is free for holders of a ticket for the MMP1917.
Only visiting the temporary exhibition: €2 p.p.

Accessible to people with disabilities.
